A 115kg woman halved her weight for the sake of her children

A UK resident lost half her weight and became a better mother to her children. This is reported by the Daily Mirror.

Leanne Hemming, 40, from Cornwall County, used to weigh 115 kilograms. She gained weight after giving birth to her two sons. She then began to move less and suffered from breathlessness at the slightest physical activity. Hemming realised she needed to lose the extra weight when she attended her aunt’s 60th birthday party. All the party guests were dancing and having fun while she couldn’t get up due to fatigue. “My sons were still very young and I felt like I was missing out on everything. I had dreamed of being a mother for so long, but I found myself unable to run after them on the beach or get down on the ground to build sand castles without panting,” she revealed.

Hemming soon learned that her cousin had lost 13 kilos through a weight loss organisation. She decided she had to lose weight for the sake of her children and contacted the organisation. Thanks to counselling from specialists, she changed her diet and changed her eating habits. Instead of eating takeaways, fast food and unhealthy snacks, she started cooking tasty and healthy meals at home and added fresh fruit and healthy snacks to her diet. The woman also started exercising. She started taking frequent walks and then joined a gym. Later, regular workouts became a habit and began to bring Hemming pleasure.
