A resident of the United States took a photo of an unknown creature, which baffled zoologists and experts of local fauna. About it reports USA Today.
Texan Jerel Hall, who lives near the city of Houston, on 16 December published in social networks fuzzy photo of a dark creature with a long tail, remotely resembling a cat. He captioned the snapshot, “Well, we are officially stating that we have seen a panther on our property.” This post caused a flurry of contradictory reactions, alarmed zoologists and even attracted the attention of major media, because panthers do not live in Texas and in general in the United States.
When reporters approached the man for comment, he said the photo was taken from a distance of about 110-140 metres and estimated the animal’s weight at 35-35 kilograms. “When I was a kid, I used to hear what sounded like a woman’s screams in the neighbourhood, but it was usually bobcats,” Hall told the interview. He also added that nine years ago he had already seen a black panther chasing a herd of feral pigs.
