In the UK in a crevice in the rocks found the skull of an ancient sea monster. About it reports BBC News.
Fossil on the Jurassic Coast found a friend of local palaeontologist Steve Etch Phil Jacobs. He came across the skull of a pliosaur – a marine predatory reptile that lived in the oceans about 150 million years ago. Jacobs immediately informed Etch about the find and together with him moved the heavy two-metre long fossil to a safe place.
According to the palaeontologist, it is one of the most valuable fossils he has ever had the pleasure of working with. “What makes it unique is that it is completely preserved,” he said. Etch said the skull contains almost all of the bones, as well as razor-sharp teeth. The fossil is currently being studied by experts.
